Wychwood Way, Oxfordshire, England (Day 2 of 3)

Chipping Norton to Woodstock

The eagle-eyed among you may have noticed that the route doesn’t actually going into Chipping Norton, but that was the nearest place we could find accommodation. It also neatly carved the 36 mile route into fairly equal sections of between 11 and 13 miles.

In addition, we detoured into Charlebury, around half way, to find a nice tea shop, serving HUGE sausage rolls and hot cross buns.πŸ˜‹

As you will see from the photos below, the weather wasn’t quite as kind as Day 1, so the images look rather gloomy I’m afraid. Nevertheless the 3 of us had a good toddle along, while Dave (the🐢) and Pete (rπŸ‡) were keeping warm and dry in the depths of my rucksack. πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘πŸ‘

And Liam couldn’t believe his luck when the guy in pic 11 came along. Plenty of I-Spy points there!

Another great post, Mike! Even with the gloomier weather, Day 2 looks like a lovely stretch, and that detour for those giant sausage rolls was a fun touch. 😁
I can’t understand how the man in photo 11, with seven dogs,πŸ•πŸ•πŸ•πŸ•πŸ•πŸ•πŸ•!!! …manages to keep all those leads from tangling. Truly impressive.

I guess it was a wise idea to let Dave and Pete stay warm in the rucksack this time. 😁

Yes, Dave and Pete belong to my grandsons, so I promised to keep them safe! They make a brief appearance on Day 3 too. πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ˜Š The guy with the dogs was a professional dog walker. So I guess he’s well practiced. We walked past his van, which had F&G Dog Walking Service on the side and a registration plate of FG10 DOG !
