We’ve had a little bit of snow on and off for the past week, with around 20cm or 8″ yesterday. Our valley is looking decidedly white. I suspect it signals the end of my walking season. 😌
On the plus side, here are a few photos, taken from our chalet today, which may help you to get into that Christmas spirit! 🎅

Yep that’s snow, looks pretty but you can have it all don’t need any here.

Thanks Brian! As you say, looks nice until you have to dig your way to the car parking area (about 60 to 70 yards) and then clear the car! I should have invested in one of those snow-blowers years ago!

Thank you for this spectacular winter wonderland, Mike. Enjoyed seeing the high mountain peaks in the background too. The grandeur of the Alps is such a gift. Stay warm, my friend.

You’re very welcome Jet. We were only saying this morning how nice the mountains are looking with their fresh ‘paint’ of snow. They seem to look bigger and come closer somehow too. As for the temperature, it was minus 9 degrees C (16F) yesterday morning (a balmy -5 this am) but it is due to go positive in the next few days. But for how long, I don’t know.

Yes, I thought it might get people ‘in the mood’! We’ll probably have the white stuff here until the end of March, but it is nice to have it on the ground for Christmas Day. 😊

It has warmed up a bit over the past few days, but the snow is not melting away very quickly, so I think we are still on for a white Christmas. 😊
