I may have mentioned it before, but my dad was in the Royal Navy and he travelled the world (Brazil, South Africa, Australia, Japan) by boat.  But it wasn’t until he was in his 80’s that he stepped onto a plane.  (My mum had only done that a few years earlier too).  So we had to show them the sights… 🙂
