Judith and I returned home last Monday to find about a foot/30cm of snow on the ground. This wasn’t unexpected, as the Swiss forecasts are generally correct. (I think this might be something to do with being in the centre of western Europe where things might be more predictable – certainly than the UK). The temperatures for the rest of the week have also been quite low, so the valley has continued to look like winter and the usual birds have been flocking to our feeders.
So I thought I might share a few pictures taken over the past week which, depending upon your viewpoint, might just make you feel cold or get you into the Christmasy spirit!
Great pics! Can’t wait until we get some…

The forecast suggests that you may get some this weekend too… (I bet the kids can’t wait either!) 🙂

A lot of it is disappearing, as the temperatures are rising gradually. But no doubt we’ll get some more soon. (We get used to it of course). 🙂

ha ha. That’s what you get for living in the alps. 🙂
Some beautiful shots!

Thanks. Most of the snow has melted away around our house, but it’s snowing again now and minus temperatures (even during the day) are due next week – which is not good for my training unfortunately.

I like the idea of snow…but I agree: its coming and going makes life a bit difficult.

Yes, it does disrupt things a little, but then, it does make foe beautiful scenery (when it stops of course). 🙂

Yup! That’s what I meant about the during the fall and while it melting being not so great, but while it’s sitting, it’s beautiful!
