Unfortunately we only spent a little over a day on Barra, (part of which was spent walking around Vatersay), so we didn’t get the opportunity to do all of the things we wanted to do.  However, we did manage to visit 3 more beaches, including one that doubles up as an airport (see pic 11).  Sadly, the tide was almost fully in when we were there, so we didn’t get to see any planes landing or taking off.  A visit to the west side of the island is also a must for any visitor, to catch the glorious sunsets.
