One of my main challenges, when going out for a walk, is to try and take some different photos, so that the posts stay interesting (I hope).  So, although I did this walk up to Mayen de Cotter on January 1st, I decided to take an alternative route down, partly because there was a lot of snow higher up.  The weather wasn’t as bright as last time, but it was much warmer today.

On returning to the chalet, I managed to zoom in on a few of the birds waiting to feed at our bird table and, I admit it, I succumbed to one, OK two, of Judith’s best bakes… Cranberry and white chocolate biscuits – they’re possibly the finest in the whole world! 🙂

Cranberry and white chocolate cookies are impossible to resist! This looks like a brilliant walk. The added bonus of some wildlife always adds to the experience. Goldfinch, Coal Tit and Great Tit are regular visitors to my garden and I always enjoy watching them. 🙂

Yes, it’s impossible to each just one! The ‘bird’ season is just getting under way here. We have the Tits all winter (possibly thanks to our feeder), but we look forward to our summer visitors. If I can capture any I’ll be posting some more pictures in due course.

Thanks Jamesie. The biscuits were heavenly. I couldn’t resist I’m afraid. But, after my 13.5k / 8 mile walk (with about 700m ascent), I figured I deserved one (or two 😉 ).

I very much enjoyed this picturesque walk, Mike, especially the grandiose Alps.

Thanks Jet. I’m glad you enjoyed it. The walking ‘season’ is getting underway and I’m hoping to add a few new walks to my repertoire, though that might not be until the snow has gone higher up.
