Another sunny day and another adventure ! 🙂 Like my previous post, this was a walk that I’d never done before. I’d seen that it was possible, via videos on Youtube, but the route on the map was indistinct. I needn’t have worried, as the path on the ground was very clear, thanks to some well placed signs and some small cairns.
As I passed this patched up bridge I doubted it would last the day… (see ‘after’ pic).
According to my Swiss Alpine Club flora book, these are “rather rare” !
With the Aiguilles Rouges behind.
The Col de Tsarmine can be seen towards the centre of the picture, between the Petite and Grande Veisivis. (See previous post).
Sure enough the melt water had washed it away…
…with the ‘facilities’ to the left…
It’s always nice to finish at a café/restaurant !
