Although fairly overcast, Thursday was forecast to be a dry day. So I took off to do the Fairfield Horseshoe, while Jude had a more leisurely day on the boat from Ambleside to Bowness.  There was a bitterly cold wind at the top, but all the effort was well worth it to get yet more superb views.
