After a day of mostly rain yesterday, we took to the hills again today. Our choice was Lingmoor Fell which gives fantastic views of the bigger mountains around The Lakes. The pictures don’t reflect the on-off nature of the rain and sun, but it was a fabulous walk starting and finishing near the Three Shires Inn in Little Langdale.
It’s not often you find yourself looking down on a rainbow.
From left to right: Pike o’Stickle, Loft Crag, Thorn Crag, Harrison Stickle and Pavey Ark
A few walkers give some perspective to the enormity of the scene.
The next batch of rain looms behind…
Our route took us over the ridge from right to left.
Blea Tarn down to the left and too many peaks to mention !
