Today, as if to prove that I’m not just a fair weather walker, I set off in light rain to do another walk on my list. This time it was to Lac d’Arbey, which is more of a large pond, particularly at this time of the year. It did however give me the chance to take some close-up photos of some of the ever increasing number of flowers, most of which I’m afraid I don’t yet know the name of. (I really need to get a better book!)
Looking casual though I only had 10 seconds on the self(ie) timer !
It’s hard to get lost with these around.
…and with these marking the way.
It’s amazing what you can see when you get close up !
This one I found in my book – an Alpine Snowbell. The book says they are very common but still protected.
I didn’t see the hairs on these leaves until I downloaded the picture. I’ve no idea what they are.
Or are they false Oxlips or something else ?
