As I mentioned in my initial post, Tim and Liam are not the keenest of photographers, so, with Pete accompanying Dave and me on the second leg, I only have a set of photos covering Bishop’s Castle to Church Stretton. I’m afraid you’ll just have to imagine what fun the other two guys had!

Another interesting departure from our usual B&B or inn, was the need for the 5 of us to meet up at Church Stretton and drive 7 miles north to Netley Hall. Despite my best efforts, (back in November), I couldn’t find any accommodation available in Church Stretton. As you will see from Pete’s pictures at the end, it wasn’t a bad alternative. 😊👍👍

For anyone interested, Leg 1 was 13 miles long while ours was 17 miles, though Pete and I cheated by cutting out the top section over Stiperstones. Dave, being the youngest member of our party, continued over the top and soon caught us up before we even reached the pub in Bridges. He’s not in the photo there as Pete and I have a tradition to keep up holding our pints. 👍🍺🍺👍

I love the Stiperstones and that area of Shropshire. We stayed in Church Stretton one August and the heather was fabulous.

It’s certainly a lovely area, with lots of wide open spaces on the moorland. It was too early for heather for us unfortunately. We certainly enjoyed waiting in the pub beer garden for the others to arrive! 👍😊
