Wainwright’s Coast to Coast ‘walk’

In a brief departure from my Swiss posts…

Each year some friends and I used to do a recognised long distance path in the UK.  Below the six of us are having the obligatory ‘start’ photo at St Bees before heading off to Robin Hood’s Bay.  We normally completed them in a relay, with two separate groups (in this case of 3) and we covered the 180 miles in 5 days.

    • Thank you. I see you have a rather nice connection with St Bees. It’s a lovely spot though a shame most people go there to walk away from it! Though surprisingly, you do head west, around the headland before turning east to Ennerdale. I also noted that we have the MCG in common, at least, on our sites. It’s a magnificent arena. I enjoyed Melbourne very much. Happy blogging!
