One of the mountain guides working for Moran Mountaineering was learning to fly and on his day off, he’d take people up for a spin if they paid for his lesson. Anyway, he passed his test and I managed to get a front seat view as we toured the Val d’Hérens, flew over the glaciers and around the Matterhorn then back down the Val d’Anniviers before returning (and landing perfectly I might add) in Sion.
We passed this well known peak and to my amazement, we saw not only 2 people on the top but 2 more climbing up the left hand side as you look at the photo. I’ve shrunk the photo size, but you might just be able to spot them if you zoom in.
Wow! I love these captures!! 😀

Thanks (again) Jackie, I’m glad you’ve been enjoying them. They are some of the images I would have posted if I’d started blogging 10 or 12 years ago! Over the years though, I have produced a desktop calendar for my family with 55 or so of my best or favourite images from the previous year. I may yet dig out some more as these have obviously created some interest. 🙂

I shall have to pick out a few more of the pictures for another ‘series’ of posts. But I don’t have a copy of all the calendars, as I gave them to my family. (Though I think my dad might still have his copies – I’ll have to check!) 🙂
