We always enjoy welcoming friends and family to our chalet, but it does mean that we tend to repeat certain walks – especially in the winter, when many of the higher paths are coveredΒ inΒ deep snow.Β  So today, Judith’s sisters, Charlotte and Kate,Β her husband Niall and I set off along the riverside path to Les HaudΓ¨res.Β  After aΒ nice lunch in the Hotel Veisivi, theΒ falling snow didn’t stop us walking back home and looking forward to a slice of one of Judith’s delicious cakes!

Thank you. It was quite tricky keeping the lens dry on the way back, but it was fun walking in the powdery snow. πŸ™‚

There are certainly worse places to live for sure. (If only I had a flat road to train on!) πŸ˜‰

Yes, it’s fantastic walking in fresh snow (and afternoon tea and cake is always nice to come home to!) The snow has continued to fall overnight, so we really do have a winter wonderland scene this morning. I hope you have plenty of fresh snow for your ski holiday. If so, the kids must be in seventh heaven!
